Instructions for running support.exe on Microsoft Windows Vista

Running our remote support application requires some minor user intervention and configuration of the operation system. Please follow the steps below:
- Download the support.exe file to your computer's desktop
- Download the vista-disable-uac.bat file to your computers desktop
- Right click on the vista-disable-uac.bat file on your desktop and select "Run as administrator".
- Double click on the vista-disable-uac.bat file on your desktop. The program will run and disable User Account Control.
- Restart your computer
- Right click on the support.exe file on your desktop and select "Properties".
- Select the "Compatibility" tab. Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" option and select Windows XP (Service Pack 2) in the drop down box.
- Check "Disable visual themes", "Disable desktop composition", and "Disable display scaling on high DPI setting" under "Settings".
- Check "Run this program as an administrator" under "Privilege Level".
- Click "OK" to apply the settings
- Double click on the support.exe file to launch the remote support session
Security prompts when downloading the support.exe file
Running Microsoft Windows Vista will prompt your with a security warning.

Click on "Save" to save the file to your computer. Choose "Desktop" as the location you are saving to.

Right click on the vista-disable-uac.bat file and select "Run as administrator".

Right click on the support.exe file and select "Properties". Click on the "Compatibility" tab and set your options as show below
