Running our remote support application requires some minor user intervention and configuration of the operation system. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Download the support.exe file to your computer's desktop
  2. Download the vista-disable-uac.bat file to your computers desktop
  3. Right click on the vista-disable-uac.bat file on your desktop and select "Run as administrator".
  4. Double click on the vista-disable-uac.bat file on your desktop. The program will run and disable User Account Control.
  5. Restart your computer
  6. Right click on the support.exe file on your desktop and select "Properties".
  7. Select the "Compatibility" tab. Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" option and select Windows XP (Service Pack 2) in the drop down box.
  8. Check "Disable visual themes", "Disable desktop composition", and "Disable display scaling on high DPI setting" under "Settings".
  9. Check "Run this program as an administrator" under "Privilege Level".
  10. Click "OK" to apply the settings
  11. Double click on the support.exe file to launch the remote support session

Security prompts when downloading the support.exe file

Running Microsoft Windows Vista will prompt your with a security warning.

Click on "Save" to save the file to your computer. Choose "Desktop" as the location you are saving to.

Right click on the vista-disable-uac.bat file and select "Run as administrator".

Right click on the support.exe file and select "Properties". Click on the "Compatibility" tab and set your options as show below
